This year's European Inventor Award ceremony will take place on 17 June 2021, and for the first time, it will be entirely digital. This marks a significant milestone in the 15-year history of the event. Since its inception, the Award has promoted understanding intellectual property rights and shown how they can drive innovation, contribute to society, and foster economic prosperity. The all-digital format will enable the organisers to reach more viewers and encourage even greater interest in intellectual property.

Date and time: Thursday, 17 June 2021 at 19.00 hrs (CEST)
Online streaming platform: inventoraward.org
Registration: The event is open to all and no registration is required.

About the Award:

The Award was established in 2006 and each year since has put inventors and their inventions in the spotlight. It has become one of Europe’s foremost innovation prizes and a celebration of the people who are making our world safer, smarter and more sustainable. The European Inventor Award will recognise the achievements of fifteen finalists in five categories (Industry, Research, Non-EPO countries, SMEs, and Lifetime achievement) and the Popular Prize, as chosen by the public. The finalists have been announced and Popular Prize voting has commenced.
